We put on many varied events at The Lantern, starting with the traditional pub quiz, readings by the fireside (narrated by the wonderful Jess who lends her voice to many a BBC production) to eclectic live music ranging from Opera to Gnawa with most genres in between from some of the owners’ favourite performers.
We host Cabaret events at regular intervals in the marquee and will be starting a cinema club in the early summer.
Every year we hold our wonderful Halloween, Bonfire night, carol singing and New Years’ Eve parties. We are always looking for new performers and if you would like to chat about putting on your own show just get in touch.
Please do keep an eye on our socials to see what's on.

Quiz Night
We hold our infamous quiz night every month.
There is always one round of questions that you’d really rather not know the answers to!
Hosted by our very own Kent Baker (he makes Jack Dee look like a ray of sunshine) and Andy Blake (who’s continual grin is the perfect foil to Kent’s grimace) and our question setter and local patron of the pub, Pete.
Please check our socials for dates.
Sushi Night
As part of our dining events we hold Guest Chef and Japanese evenings periodically. Taku Mizutani master sushi chef and a partner in The Lantern prepares dishes for a limited number of guests over five courses with a selection of Sake and Sake cocktails.
Please call us on 01304 852276 or email info@lanterninn.co.uk to enquire.
